One week after announcing a major shakeup in the administration at Allegany College of Maryland- one of the three remaining vice presidents at the college has been offered and accepted the job as next president of Victoria College in Victoria Texas. David Hinds was selected by the college board of trustees at a special meeting held Monday, and notified Allegany College President Dr Cynthia Bambara of his plans to assume those duties in early August. Last week, Bambara announced sweeping changes in top level administration positions, eliminating two vice president positions, and reducing the role of two others to that of dean. She tells WCBC News that there has been no backlash from the move, saying that the response she has received has been overwhelmingly positive.
