Former Kelly Springfield Corporate Manager For Human Resources Passes Away

Raymond F. "Ray" Schoch, 82, of Bel Air, Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. 


Ray worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio. He then transferred to Rome, Italy, Stow, Ohio, Jackson, Michigan, and New Bedford, Massachusetts, before coming to Cumberland in 1974 with the Kelly Springfield Tire Company. Ray retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company with 35 years of service. His last position was corporate manager for human resources. 
 

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. The LaVale Lions Club will conduct their memorial service on Thursday at 8:15 p.m., the Alhambra will conduct the Crescent service at 8:30 p.m., and the Christian Wake service will be conducted at 8:45 p.m. with the members of the Knights of Columbus participating. 



The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at 10 a.m. 



Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. 



In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Ray may do so by making memorial contributions to St. Anthony's Place, Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, 300 East Oldtown Road, Ste. 2, Cumberland, MD 21502.
