Former Mineral County Teacher Entered Guilty Plea

According to the Cumberland Times News, the Keyser woman and former Mineral County educator accused of having sexual relations with three high school boys pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree sexual assault Thursday morning at her presentencing hearing in circuit court.

Denise Fitch also formally resigned from her technology integration specialist position with Mineral County schools.

Fitch was originally charged with five counts of third-degree sexual assault; six counts of sexual abuse by a guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust; and one count of sexual abuse. As part of the plea agreement, Fitch only pleaded guilty to the three counts of third-degree sexual assault.
