Fort Hill Student Charged For Possession Of Marijuana

The School Resource Officer was called to Fort Hill High School for a report of a student in possession of CDS. Upon the officers arrival the schools assistant vice principal was contacted. She advised that a student was referred to her office by a teacher who suspected the student was in possession of marijuana. The teacher reported that he detected the odor of marijuana on the student. Once the student arrived in the office the vice principal also detected the odor of marijuana on the student. The student was asked about the marijuana and denied being in possession of any. The student was then searched and a small baggie of marijuana was located on the student. The student's parents responded to the school to take the student home. The student was charged through the Department of Juvenile Services for possession of marijuana on a Juvenile Petition.
