Fracking Ban may stall in Senate

WBAL reports a bill to ban underground natural gas fracking in Western Maryland is moving forward in the House of Delegates. On Wednesday, the House gave preliminary approval to the bill with amendments.  A final vote is expected on Friday. The bill may not get to the Senate floor. The chairman of the Senate Education Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, Joan Carter Conway of Baltimore City, says she won’t bring the bill to the Senate floor unless lawmakers have enough votes to override a possible veto from Governor Hogan
