The City of Cumberland would like to notify the public on the behalf of CSX Transportation, Inc. that beginning at 9am on Monday, September 9, 2019, until 12pm, Thursday, September 12, 2019, the Franklin Street Railroad Crossing shall be closed for repairs between Columbia Avenue and North Centre Street. Detour signage will be in place to direct vehicles to use Valley Street, Henderson Avenue, Pear Street and Columbia Avenue in order to access the north side of the City. The closure and detour shall be in effect until the crossing is complete. Please use caution in the area and expect delays during drop-off and pick-up times for Braddock Middle School.
