Friendsville Accident Claims Elderly Missouri Woman

On July 9, 2015 at approximately 11:38 AM, Troopers from the MSP McHenry Barracks responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Friendsville Road at the intersection with Maple Street, in Friendsville, MD.

Investigation revealed a 2004 Chevy Malibu, operated by Dennis Larue of St Louis , MO, failed to stop at a stop sign on Maple Street where it intersects with Friendsville Road. As a result, Larue's vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck that was traveling southbound on Friendsville Road. The GMC truck was being operated by John Livengood of Swanton, MD. A passenger in Larue's vehicle, Frances Trupiano of Florissant, MO, was fatally injured. Both Larue and Trupiano were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Livengood had minor injuries but refused transport.

Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department and Northern Garrett Ambulance also responded to the accident scene.

No charges were issued at this time. The investigation is continuing
