Friendsville Bank Robbed

On 5-7-12 at approximately 1245 hours, MD State Police McHenry Barrack Troopers responded to the First United Bank and Trust located in Friendsville, MD for a bank robbery.  When police arrived, contact was made with personnel, inside the bank, who stated a white female approximately in her mid 20's, entered the bank, displayed a note and demanded money.  The bank teller provided the female with an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then fled the bank.  The suspect is described as a white female with blond hair, approximately 5’3-5’6 approximately 115-130 lbs.  She was wearing a dark colored Penn State ball cap displaying the Nittany Lion Penn State logo worn backwards; and dark shaded sunglasses.  She wore a burgandy colored T-shirt with "Old Navy" written on the front, and was carrying a light colored handbag.  MD State Police Helicopter Trooper 5, and K-9 units from the MD State Police and Garrett County Sheriff’s Office were utilized. The scene was proces  sed by a MD State Police crime scene technician.  Troopers from the McHenry Barracks and deputies from the GA Co Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and assisted in the search of the suspect.  Anyone with any information is urged to contact Detective DeLauter MD State Police McHenry Barracks at 301-387-1101.
