Frostburg man facing trespassing charges

Officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 635 East First Street, Jane Frazier Village regarding a trespassing complaint.  Information was received that Michael Anthony Butler was trespassing on the property after he had been served with a no trespassing letter on January 1, 2006.  Upon the officers arrival they located Butler outside apartment 13G.  Butler was arrested at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Butler was also served with an arrest warrant from a separate incident that was handled by the Cumberland City Police Department on May 28, 2014.  During that incident, Butler allegedly stole property from Martin's Market on Park Street.   After stealing items from the store, Butler fled the scene on foot.  After being processed and served, Butler was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on his own personal recognizance.

Arrest Warrant Charge: Theft Less than $100.
