Frostburg Man Sentenced for Carjacking

The Office of the State’s Attorney, Michael O. Twigg, State’s Attorney, announced the sentencing of Jonathan Michael Bittner, 30, of Frostburg Maryland for his conviction of Carjacking on 4/28/2011.  Mr. Bittner was sentenced by the Court to 30 years in the Department of Corrections with 16 of those years suspended.  Mr. Bittner was also ordered to five years supervised probation upon his release at which time he must undergo extensive drug evaluation and treatment programs.

Twigg Commented, “I am very pleased with the Court’s sentence and consideration in this matter.  After consulting with the victim in this case I believe that his interests and the interests of public safety have been addressed by this sentence.”

Judge Timothy Finan presided over the case.  The case was prosecuted by Michael Twigg, State’s Attorney.  Mr. Bittner was represented by Ramani Pilai and Ramon Rozas.
