May 10th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

On Wednesday evening, at approximately 8:45 PM, a lone female suspect entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Bishop Murphy Drive in Frostburg. The suspect approached an employee and passed a hand written note to them. The note demanded pain medication and stated that there was a bomb in the bathroom that would be detonated if the employee did not comply. The suspect was given an undisclosed quantity of pills and then fled the store on foot. The direction of travel is unknown. The Frostburg Police responded to the scene. They quickly determined that there was no bomb on the premises. A search for the suspect was conducted, but she was not located at that time. Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. Video surveillance of the suspect was obtained.  The suspect is described as a white female, approximately 5-04 to 5-07 in height, with brown hair. She was wearing blue jeans and a pink sweatshirt, with the hood pulled up over her head in an attempt to conceal her identity.  Anyone with information regarding this case can call the Frostburg Police at 301-689-3000, or the C3I Unit at 301-777-0326. If callers wish to remain anonymous, they can call the Allegany/Mineral County Crime Solvers at 301-722-4300, where callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1500.00 for information leading to an arrest in this case.  The investigation is continuing by the Frostburg Police and C3I.
