Frostburg State and County Leader Dies

A leading figure in Allegany County and Frostburg State University has died.  Dr. Bernard Wynder, 58, died Thursday at his residence in Frostburg.  Wynder graduated from Frostburg State in 1978 and has been part of campus life for decades.  He had been most recently serving as Assistant Vice President of Student Services.  Wynder has served on various community boards and organizations, including president of the Allegany Chapter of the NAACP.  Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg.  Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 am at Frostburg United Methodist Church.
