FSU eyed in Title IX Sexual Abuse Probe

May 2nd, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Frostburg State University is one of 55 colleges that are being looked at for possible irregularities in handling sexual abuse complaints.  The process is mandated by Title IX and some victims have indicated through filings that they did not receive adequate protection.  According to FSU, the complaint resulted from an off campus incident that was adjudicated last year. The probe is being handled through the United States Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights, and the local university said it will cooperate fully with the investigation.
