The Cumberland Times News reports a Cumberland man was arrested late Thursday at a Keyser playground when police discovered he was wanted in Allegany County for probation violation. Terry C. Zais, 47, was arrested by Keyser Police when officers checked a suspicious person complaint at a West End playground that was closed at the time.
Zais was reportedly found in the bathroom. A check of computerized police records revealed an outstanding warrant on file in Cumberland for Zais for a violation of probation relating to a charge of disturbing the peace, police said.
Following the arrest, Zais was taken to the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta where he remained jailed Friday, pending extradition to Maryland.
