Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow for longtime local union leader James Bestpitch who passed away over the weekend at the Western Maryland Health System. During his years representing the AFSCME in Allegany County he frequently called into WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” to discuss union disputes or to update contract negotiations. The safety of workers on the job was always a top priority of Bestpitch and he never failed to drive home that point…
