The future of the Footer Dye Works building was discussed in some detail during Thursday’s special meeting of the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority. Authority Chair Andy Vick has maintained that finding a private developer for a commercial operation is a key to the economic viability of Canal Place. Vick said that Canal Place is no longer requiring any potential developer interested in the Footer Dye Works to be a tourism-related business only….
