Maryland State Senator Rob Garagiola has made public 10 years of tax filings, which show that he and his wife together earned more than $200,000 in 2010. Garagiola, a Democrat who is running to represent Western Maryland in Congress, earned about $114,600 as an attorney with a Rockville-based law firm, plus about $41,800 from the state for serving in the General Assembly, the filings indicate. The state senator reported that he released the information to show his votes as a legislator are not influenced by his earnings. In Cumberland Saturday to attend the annual Snow Ball- a fund raiser for the Western Maryland Health System Auxiliary- he talked with WCBC News about his expected campaign against ten year incumbent republican Roscoe Bartlett.
