A 28-year-old Grantsville woman was sentenced to a four-year prison term Tuesday in Garrett County Circuit Court. The Cumberland Times News reports Sheana Renee Livengood was sentenced by Judge Jim Sherbin to four years in the  Maryland Division of Correction for a charge of possession of heroin with intent to distribute.  A related charge of possession of heroin was deemed to merge into the more serious charge. Court costs of $345 were also assessed. Livengood was found guilty of the crimes following a jury trial in October. She had been charged by investigators with the Garrett County Narcotics Task Force in April when she was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. Following a positive alert by a drug-detection dog, a substantial quantity of heroin was found on Livengood’s person, according to the Garrett County state’s attorney.
