Prices at the pump continue to retreat from a high September peak of $3.87 per gallon nationally. The national average price for a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline fell to $3.79 per gallon Friday, 4 cents lower than one week ago. However, gas prices are 32 cents above year ago prices.
