Gas prices continue steady fall

October 25th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

After remaining relatively flat for the past two weeks, gas prices continue their decline closer to the $3.00 mark this week, supported by falling crude oil prices.  The national average price for regular grade gasoline dropped to $3.32 Friday.  This price is four cents lower than one week ago, 13 cents less than one month ago and 28 cents less than the same day last year.  The last time the national average registered less than $3.34 per gallon was January 22, when prices began a surge of 49 cents in 41 days toward a 2013 high of $3.79 per gallon on February 27. Heading into the weekend, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in Cumberland was $3.40
