Gas Prices Drop With The Temperatures

The cheer of the holiday season is coming early this year as Americans will likely pay the lowest Thanksgiving gas prices since 2009. Friday’s national average for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.84 per gallon, which is seven cents less than one week ago, 25 cents less than one month ago, and 38 cents less than last year’s price on this date. The national average price of gas has remained below $3.00 per gallon for 20 days with more than three-quarters of U.S. gas stations now reporting prices below this benchmark.  Maryland’s average has stayed below $3.00 per gallon for 26 days.  The State average for Friday is $2.85 per gallon which is a nickel lower than last week, 23 cents less than a month ago, and 46 cents less than a year ago on this date. Prices in Cumberland averaging $2.92 a gallon.
