Drivers nationwide and across Maryland enjoyed another week of lower gas prices. It’s not certain if this “treat” at the pump will last long as geopolitical concerns could impact crude oil prices to after the first week in November. Today’s national gas price average is $2.84, which is down three cents in the last week and in the last month, but 38 cents higher than this time last year. Maryland’s gas average is 14 cents less than the national average at $2.70 per gallon, the largest price differential since January 2015.  The state average is six cents lower in the last week, 10 cents less than last month, but 29 cents more than last year on this date. Maryland ranks sixteenth in the nation with the cheapest state average while neighboring Delaware ranks first with the cheapest state gas average.
