Gas Prices Dropping Dramatically

Drivers across the AAA Mid-Atlantic territory which includes Maryland can officially boast gas prices below the $2 per gallon mark. Some areas are following the national average with prices below $1.75, including New Jersey and Delaware, while Maryland’s average is a penny higher than this benchmark. Nationally, the average price at the pump is $1.70 per gallon, down six cents on the week.  Maryland’s average is six cents higher than the national average at $1.76 per gallon.  However, the state average is seven cents lower compared to last week, 20 cents less than last month, and 46 cents per gallon cheaper than last year on this date. In Cumberland, the price is down six cents from a week ago, standing at $1.77 a gallon
