Gas Prices Jump 11 Cents in Cumberland

Across Maryland drivers continue to pay double digit increases for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline compared to last week. The national average hit its highest price recorded so far this year on Thursday at $2.67 a gallon, while Maryland’s average reached a high for 2017 on Wednesday at $2.75.

 

Today’s national average price for unleaded gasoline stands at $2.67 per gallon, 15 cents higher than one week ago, 32 cents higher than one month ago and 48 cents more than the price last year on this date.

Maryland’s average cost at the pump is pricing seven cents per gallon more than the national average at $2.74 per gallon. The state’s average reflects an increase of 20 cents from a week ago, a 39 cents rise versus last month and a 55 cents increase over last year’s price.
