March 25th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

While Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is announcing more strict emergency orders each day to help stop or slow the spread of the Coronavirus- it’s quite a difference message being delivered by President Trump. In a town hall event Tuesday, the President signaled that he's considering loosening coronavirus social distancing guidelines amid the growing economic fallout, while public health officials warn that approach could quickly overload hospital systems and cost more lives. Governor Hogan expressed frustration with the mixed messages being sent from the White House…

Hogan you get to keep your job. Shutting everything down is not leadership.

Sure Jim. Why try to show leadership, make hard decisions, and protect the citizens of MD?

        > Don’t be a fool! The flu has killed more people;FACT! We don’t close down for flu season. Also the Governor is not going to reimburse businesses for their lost income due to his forced closures. There is a reason people are continuing to stay normal, they are not scared of this and see the truth.

The flu has a vaccine Dan. Covid-19 is many times more contagious than the flu and the vaccine for COVID-19 is at least a year away. I listen to medical professionals. The governor seems to be doing that as well. Watch something besides Fox News and do a little research.

Thank you Gov Hogan, for being a sane mind amidst the confusion of POTUS. WE are all frustrated as well, but with your leadership, and the scientists and doctors, the great state of MD will pull through. I only wish there were more people like you on our side! And thanks for not issuing an order that seniors should die to give life to their kids and back to the country, as SOME leaders across the country want to do!!

As much as I like Larry Hogan, his approach to this is almost draconian. Precautionary measures yes, shutting down the entire economy statewide, not so much. Allegany Co. is by far different from down state, both geographically an demographically, referring to density, not ethnicity. The so called mixed signals from the White House is a flexible response to a fluid situation which changes day to day based on new scientific data.

      > Yeah to all that are complaining, “it’s not by me or in my county – why shut us down? Yeah just wait. It will be and since it’s a smaller population, it will spread rampant since you all don’t believe in doing anything to stop that from eventually happening. Unfortunately, your locals hospitals are lacking compared to the ones in the city. That’s a fact! Keep safe -stay alive. Working and money means nothing when you’re dead or disabled the rest of your life depending on oxygen from the side effects. Doesn’t scare you, then by all means go out and get it and give it to your love ones, then post your idiocy on here. It’s people like you who ARE the problem.

Yes, along with we don’t know how many Americas – but this will not be anything like the deaths we have seen from the flu in the past.

New Jersey hospitals are now getting close to 100% capacity in their ICU units as are the ones in New York City. The situation will be increasingly worse in the next several weeks.

Governor Hogan is doing exactly what I expect a leader to do when a crisis like this hits. It’s better to be cautious than to experiment by packing the churches on Easter.

The Governor has done a great job. He has listened to the doctors and scientists and been cautious to protect the citizens of Maryland. Former reality tv Star Trump is actually personally responsible for one death by suggesting a “cure” that actually killed someone.

      > You can’t fixd stupid. The couple ingesting fish tank cleaner is just stupid-like eating Tide Pod packets. common sense is needed. the Gov of Nevada issued a exec order to prohibit the medications use in his state because two people were not engaging their brains and drank cleaner chemicals- now that is blind thinking.

I had a couple of fresh water tanks back in the 1980′s, each one had at least one Plecostomus Algae eater. Kept the tanks clean for months, never thought of eating one. I suppose if you cut the barbs off they’d be okay with onion dip.

David Dennison should not be shouting out the names of drugs that are possible treatments or cures.. Yes, there are many stupid people out there who take his words as gospel. All you have to do is look at the people who go to his rallies. Surprised he hasn’t scheduled one for Easter Sunday.
