Gov. Hogan Pushing For Tax Relief

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, who made campaign pledges to cut taxes, has cautioned the democrat controlled House and Senate that there will be no budget resolution reached unless there is some kind of tax relief agreed upon. To date most lawmakers are saying that tax cuts are not realistic- and the state’s comptroller has said it would be ill advised to slash taxed given the current fragile state of the economy. House Minority Leader Nick Kipke said he is encouraged that the new governor has made tax relief a priority and an issue that is finally receiving serious attention among lawmakers…
