Gov. Hogan Reiterates Vow To Veto “Sanctuary State” BIll

Appearing on WBAL Radio Tuesday, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan reiterated his vow to veto a bill that would turn the Old Line State into a sanctuary state.  On Monday, the Maryland House of Delegates passed House Bill 1362 by an 83-55 vote – two votes shy of the number needed to override the promised veto. The proposed law would “prohibit state and local police officers from stopping, arresting, searching or detaining an individual for purposes of suspected immigration violations.”  Having passed the House, the bill now moves on to the Senate where the Governor hopes it will be killed…
