Gov. O'Malley says he's planning to talk with Senate and House leaders "in the next several days" to work on the budget that failed to pass before the forced deadline of the legislative session. O'Malley said on WBAL's Maryland's Morning News that "what we need to do is come together to accomplish a budget that moves our state ahead." O'Malley has said that he would not call a special session to consider the budget unless there is a "consensus" in place beforehand.The lack of budget action means that a "doomsday" budget would kick in as of July 1 if lawmakers don't act by that time
