Governor Releases Bill To Expand Gambling

Governor Martin O'Malley, on Tuesday night, released a 56-page bill to expand gambling in Maryland.  The legislature will go before the Maryland General Assembly which will hold a special session beginning today in the senate. The bill establishes table games like blackjack, and it establishes a sixth casino in Prince George's County. However, the bill does not name the National Harbor Resort as the sixth casino site.  Instead National Harbor would compete for the license with Rosecroft Raceway.  Some republican lawmakers plan to boycott the second special session of the summer.
