Greater Cumberland Regional Airport Controversy Continues

Amid a long list of allegations against the manager of the Greater Cumberland Regional Airport and members of the Potomac Highlands Airport Authority, two board members walked out of a nearly 3 hour-long special meeting held in late February- and indications are that the controversy isn’t going to go away anytime soon. Former airport manager and board member Terry Malone, who apparently could not see eye-to-eye on a series of allegations that had been made over the past three months, resigned his positions and is now threatening to pursue legal challenges to what he believes is a corrupt management at the airport. Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr was appointed as chair of the authority following the resignations- and he says he has no plans to allow Malone’s accusations interfere with the day to day operations of the airport…
