Grim Staying Optimistic on Footer Dye Works Building

April 12th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

Despite what seems like an endless series of delays and obstacles, Cumberland Mayor Brian Grim remains optimistic that significant commercial development opportunities exist for the Footer Dye Works Building at Canal Place. Another step in that direction was taken this week with the nomination of the building to the National Register of Historic Places has been approved by the state and will now go for final approval before the U.S. National Park Service. Mayor Grim says having the building on the registry opens up a wide variety of opportunities for the private sector.
