Thanks to some last minute negotiations- Western Maryland Murray, the official Cumberland groundhog, will return to downtown Cumberland once again- appearing early today to predict the weather for the next six weeks. Mayor Brian Grim will greet Murray at sunrise, approximately 7 a.m., to find out the prediction. The Downtown Dollar Store and M&M Bakery will open at 6 a.m. for the festivities. As recently as Wednesday there were no plans to hold the event- but Mayor Grim confirmed late yesterday morning that the show will go on….
