Gun Control Regulations Criticized At Hearing

One week from tomorrow Maryland's new gun control law takes effect. Among other things, the law bans 45 different types of weapons, limits magazine clips to 10 rounds, and requires gun buyers to submit fingerprints to the Maryland State Police.

WBAL reports that today, the regulations the State Police will use to enforce the law is the focus of a hearing by the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review (ALER).

Officials from the Maryland State Police testified on how they will enforce the new law.

A final committee vote to approve the regulations is expected by this evening
