Hagerstown Man Charged With Threat Of Arson

The Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the McDonald’s located at 1729 Massey Boulevard in Halfway after verbal threats were made against the store manager.

Eric Tugbeh Carlton Thomson, Jr. (22) was released from employment at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th. He immediately uttered threats to shoot the manager and also threatened to set fire to the managers’ home.
Thomson was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Washington County Detention Center and charged with Arson Threat. He remains in custody on a $10,000 bond. If convicted of the charge, Thomson faces a penalty of up to five years imprisonment and/or $5,000 in fines.
