Half Of Md’s Energy To Come From Renewable Sources By 2030

Half of Maryland’s energy will come from renewable sources by 2030 under a bill that was approved by the General Assembly this past session. State lawmakers passed the measure in April, requiring utilities in the state to subsidize solar and wind farms. Controversially, it also maintains incentives for trash incinerators and paper mills even though they generate pollution and greenhouse gases.  The legislation brings Maryland to the forefront of states using energy policy to promote investment in green technology. The state joins seven others with renewable energy goals of 50% or more, designed to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and thus ease greenhouse gas emissions.     What paper mills. You screwed those workers is that Right Mike Miller. Their is no longer a paper mill in Maryland. What is wrong with Trash incinerators they incinerate the garbage that people throw away.
