Numbers released Friday indicate a hefty increase in people signing up for health insurance as part of the exchange website that went active on October 1st. According to WBAL News, the Maryland Health Connection say 4500 residents have signed up, a 1500 jump since last week. The state's website has been plagued with problems since it was open earlier this month with Martin O'Malley saying last week that it would take a month to work out all the issues. The server capacity of the website has increased to make it easier for account holders to browse plans.
