Today, the House Ways and Means Committee is expected to hold a hearing on a bill to expand casino gambling in Maryland. Last week, the Senate approved the bill that would build a sixth casino in Prince George's County, and would allow all casinos in Maryland to offer table games such as black jack. Currently, Maryland casinos only offer slot machines. The bill would also increase the share of revenue casino operators receive from 33% to 41%. That figure would drop to 40% once the sixth casino approves. Howard County Democratic Delegate Frank Turner told WBAL News that the committee is considering a number of changes to the bill. Turner said delegates may only approve a bill that allows for table games in casinos, but does not create the sixth casino license. He said there are many options on the table…
