Heated Debate At DDC Meeting

Potential changes to the Downtown Cumberland Mall led to a heated debate during Thursday morning’s regular meeting of the Downtown Development Commission. The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation has commissioned a consulting firm to develop a number of options for the downtown Baltimore Street business district, which include the potential for re-opening the mall to vehicular traffic and limited parking. Those options will be on display at a public, community meeting next week- however a proposal from the DDC will not.
