The Cumberland Area National Day of Prayer has created a separate entity, The Cumberland Area United Church Outreach. According to Dan Bible, chair of the local Day of Prayer event, the mission is to mobilize prayer in the area, promote unity and effect practical change to the social issues which are harming the area. The next meeting is this coming Monday, 6 p.m. at the Cresaptown United Methodist Church- with the focus being to outline a spiritual approach to addressing the growing heroin and drug epidemic…
