Downtown businesses looking to make physical changes to their buildings must gain approval from the Historic Preservation Commission, a volunteer group which meets monthly. The commission meets today (Monday) at 2 pm at City Hall to consider five proposals. Kathy McKenney, historic planner for the city, told WCBC News that the commission’s authority covers much of the downtown area.
Businesses with proposals today (Monday) include Niner’s Canal Pub, Luxury Leasing, El Canelo, Brown Insurance, and Dee’s Old Fashioned Snowballs.
