Hit and Run On 05/04/16 The Cumberland Police Dept responded to the area of Paca St in reference to a hit and run. Officers contacted the complainant who stated that an unknown vehicle had struck their 2009 Jeep which was parked and unattended. There are no suspects or witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.
Shoplifting On 05/04/16 at 6:58pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a business located in the 400blk of Virginia Ave in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted store employees who advised that they observed a juvenile male attempt to remove an item from the store without paying for it. As a result Officers arrested an 11 year old male juvenile and transported him to Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with one count of Theft less than $100. The case will be forwarded to the Dept of Juvenile Services for disposition.
