Maryland Governor Larry Hogan last week shut down the Baltimore City Men’s Detention Center. Hogan said the facility had too many problems to mention, and had been ignored for far too long:
Hogan said employees would be reassigned to other state facilities, and that prisoners held there would be transferred to nearby correctional units, most likely not shipped to state prisons in our area.
