Hogan Dedicates Highway to Slain Officer; Highlights Noah’s Law

Governor Larry Hogan this week was joined by Montgomery County Police, transportation officials, members of MADD, and the family of an officer killed by a drunk driver in the line of duty, at a ceremony dedicating a portion of a highway to the slain officer.  Hogan officially dedicated a portion of MD 97 in the Olney area to Montgomery County Police Officer Noah A. Leotta.  The event also highlights the kick-off of Noah’s Law on October 1, which strives to save lives by keeping drunk drivers off of state roadways by using ignition interlock devices in cars for anyone convicted of drunk driving in Maryland.  Governor Hogan praised officer Leotta’s family for their leadership in seeing the legislation move through the house and senate to become state law…
