Hogan Says If He Runs For President, He Would Emulate Reagan

March 19th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

WBAL reports Governor Larry Hogan this week is talking about the kind of presidential campaign he would run, while also not committing to entering the ring in the 2020 Republican primary against President Donald Trump.

"I come from the Ronald Reagan school of politics," Hogan told The Washington Post.

The moderate Republican said he would run a campaign based on more traditional Republican values, and portray himself as a candidate who would stand by America's allies. He told The Post he was concerned about the way Trump is alienating traditional American partners and, in so doing, undermining the overtures he does attempt to make.

WBAL's Bryan Nehman also interviewed Hogan this week. The first part of his interview aired today, the the second part to follow on Wednesday.

Former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld is also considering a challenge to Trump.

I am going to say this. Trump and his arrogant anger against many GOP house members caused the House to go to the stupid lunatic democrats. I am voting against Trump in the Primary. He even thinks McCain still thought that Dossier was real but wasn’t.

        > Paul Ryan wasn’t responsible. It was Trump and his failure to have Pence help to keep the House. Got plenty of evidence how his anger lost the house. Lost many fine seats in Texas, New York, South Carolina, Utah and about a few other little states. Yes I will never forget the Trump bad effect

RUNNING AGAINST WOULD LOSE MOST OF VOTES YOU GOT FOR GOVERNOR. McCAIN WAS ON THE CONSPIRACY TO KEEP TRUMP FROM WINNING AND WOULD ALSO LIED ABOUT VOTE TO BUILD THE WALL AFTER SAYING HE WOULD. WHEN YOU CAN’T TAKE A MAN’S WORD, TO ME HE ISN’T MUCH OF A MAN.I WISH EVERY PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY WOULD STEP BACK AND LOOK WHAT THIS MAN HAS AND STILL DOING TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY BETTER WITH ALL ALL THE HATE AND BITTERNESS THAT BEEN THROW AT HIM.
