Hogan Talks Plans for Reopening State’s Economy

The Maryland Department of Commerce formed two task forces this week to prepare to reopen the state's economy.  The two recovery task forces will focus on manufacturing and tourism. Earlier this week, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced that the state would begin to transition more from containment and mitigation of the coronavirus to planning for a gradual reopening of the state and its businesses. While the number of cases are still rising in Maryland, the Republican governor said there are signs to be cautiously optimistic. For example, the number of hospitalizations appear to be stabilizing and the state has increased its stock of protective equipment and the state’s capacity to care for the sick. With those encouraging numbers in mind, Hogan said experts have been working on this road map for reopening the state for several weeks…

    Many of us are thankful that the governor won’t be creating a statewide cemetary.
