Home invasion in Centerville

According to the Cumberland Times News an Evitts Creek Road couple was robbed and beaten Sunday night when three masked suspects armed with a handgun forced their way into their residence, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Bedford. Between 9:30 and 10 p.m., the suspects forced a rear door of the residence as the occupants “retreated to the basement of the residence after realizing what was going on. Two of the suspects caught the couple in the basement and then took them to the first floor where the victims were punched and kicked. Money, prescription medication and firearms were stolen before the suspects fled, traveling south on Evitts Creek Road in an unknown vehicle being driven by a fourth suspect. The driver was said to be a white male. One suspect was said to be of stocky building and wearing a sweat jacket and a dark ski mask. The suspect with the handgun was described as a male about 6 feet, 1 inch one tall with brown hair, a thin face and wearing a black jacket and dark ski mask.The third suspect was said to be a male of short height with brown hair. He was also wearing dark clothing and a dark ski mask.It was not known if the male and female victims — ages 48 and 49 — required medical treatment following the incident.
Anyone who may have observed a suspicious vehicle on Evitts Creek Road or who can provide a description of the suspect vehicle is asked to contact state police at Bedford at 814-623-6133
