The Maryland House of Delegates has approved legislation to establish wind generators off of Ocean City shores. According to WBAL News, the bill is an amended version of the plan proposed by Governor Martin O'Malley that would require utilities to have 2.5-percent of their electricity wind power generated. Companies could charge customers an additional $1.50 per thousand kilowatt hours a month for the generators.
