The House Appropriations Committee is still working on legislation for the Maryland budget. According to WBAL News, the Senate has already passed the budget legislation on Thursday. It raises the state income tax for most taxpayers. The Senate also decided to phase in the pension split over four years. The bill would need to be passed by the April 9th adjournment of the Legislature.
