On October 3, 2015 at approximately 10:35 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence on Humbird Street in reference to a disturbance. As police were investigating the disturbance Markel Whitfield began yelling at officers and people being interviewed by police, furthering the disturbance. Whitfield was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the police department where he was issued a criminal citation for disorderly conduct. He was released pending trial in District Court.
