The Allegany County Department of Public Works Utilities Division will conclude fire hydrant flushing next week. Residents may experience some water discoloration during the flushing process. Mark W. Yoder, P.E., Utilities Division
Chief, recommends that residents run water for several minutes until it is clear before using it.
The Utilities Division personnel will wear Allegany County identified safety vests during this work. Questions may be directed to the Allegany County Department of Public Works – Utilities Division – Bowling Green Service Center, 301-729-3311, Monday through Friday from 7:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.
